Individuals from four different walks of life share how RSM Training has improved their lives and touched their souls in meaningful ways.
Picture yourself here as you learn about the transformative and healing power of touch.
Formerly an interior designer Theresa now has a blossoming Rubenfeld Synergy practice in New Jersey – a practice that lets her tap into the depths of her being while helping others to do the same.
Of her journey with Rubenfeld Synergy she says, “I immediately connected to the work and it connected me. I loved and continue to love the insight and depth of experience the sessions offer. Each is like a journey of exploration traveling below the surface down into the interior of my being, body connecting to emotion, body connecting to mind, body connecting to soul.”
Theresa’s Story ↓
At 33 I unknowingly embarked on a journey to find my soul. By society’s standards I had it all; a thriving interior design business, a beautiful home and a loving family, yet I felt an emptiness gnawing inside of me.
I developed a voracious appetite for knowledge in the fields of psychology, spirituality and health. My therapist suggested that I have a Rubenfeld Synergy session which he explained as “a body-oriented therapeutic approach.” At the time, I wasn’t able to take him up on his suggestion. Sometime later a support group I formed was looking for a facilitator. It happened that the person who was recommended was a Rubenfeld synergist. I immediately connected to the work and it connected me. I loved and continue to love the insight and depth of experience the sessions offer. Each is like a journey of exploration traveling below the surface down into the interior of my being, body connecting to emotion, body connecting to mind, body connecting to soul.
Inspiration strikes
Then a spark of inspiration. Maybe I could do this work. I wasn’t looking for a new career but I sensed that Rubenfeld Synergy could nourish my soul. I felt I was being called to do this work and soon applied to the RSM Training Program. Little did I know how transformative the training would be.
Something came alive in me during the training; something that had long been neglected and ignored. My ability to sense and feel was given value and I wanted to develop this ability to tap into the depths of my being and help others to do the same. I began to reclaim the knowledge and intelligence of my body.
I had many profound experiences in my training. One that stands out occurred during a synergy session. What was so profound was support I received from my synergist’s touch. I felt support deep in my bones and rooted in my body - support that permeated the training and encouraged curiosity, exploration and discovery in the learning process. I became comfortable traversing the unknown. In essence, I came home to myself.
Passing on the gift
I have now made the transition from interior designer to Rubenfeld Synergist with a blossoming practice in New Jersey. I come from a lineage of wise and compassionate teachers and I feel blessed to pass on what I have learned to my clients. Instead of designing a house or apartment I help my clients to love and listen to the sacred home in which they live, the home of the body.
