Listening Touch

Touch brings presence home. Through touch we contact ourselves and connect with others. Touch, which is listening and caring reaches to our very core. In Ashley Montague’s book, ‘Touching: The Human Significance of the Skin’ he speaks of the “importance of nurturing touch to the development of the human baby….and it remains so throughout all our days living within this body.”

Touch carries with it an intimacy of knowing and of being. When we are moved deeply in our hearts we say we “are touched.” Touch opens us to our heart space. Touch awakens us to warmth and belonging, to our fragility and to our strength. Touch is the gift that Rubenfeld Synergy Method offers.

Teaching Touch

During RSM training, much time is devoted to learning how to use touch to listen to the body’s story. Learning where, how and when to touch requires practice, skill, intuition, and a felt sense of where each individual is in their healing and recovery.

Let RSM help you explore how your intention affects touch and how touch can open a dialogue with your inner world and the inner world of your clients.
